Discover 2 systems: Irish stick fighting and C.D.P. system

Two exceptional Masters

Hugo Vial

Hugo Vial discovered the fascinating world of martial arts and combat sports in 1989. He took up bare-hand techniques, kickboxing, Krav Maga, telescopic baton, tonfa, Balintawak-style Kali Escrima and Panantukan, before finally becoming a master in cane defence. All these experiences led him to create the C.D.P. system, a method of using walking sticks for personal defence.

James Stewart

James Stewart, a UK native, has been practising FMA for over 20 years. He discovered the martial arts in 1986 while training in the art of tai-jutsu. With his many years of experience in a wide variety of martial arts, James is an excellent instructor. He is a specialist in Irish stick fighting, but also has an interest in Yawara (short stick) and flashlight techniques.

Cane Fighters International

Guy De Ro, organiser of this exceptional seminar, discovered the power of the cane as a self-defence tool after injuring his knee. In 2001, Guy founded ‘Cane Fighters International’ to share his passion. He had the opportunity to travel to the United States to visit Grandmaster Marc Shuey Sr. to learn more about his art and cane making. His work has been recognised by Mark Shuey and the Cane Masters International Association. Today, Guy and his son Jimmy have made it their mission to sell quality fighting sticks at affordable prices, in order to make this martial art accessible to a wider public.

"Ons Huis"

Our seminar is taking place in Beersel in the ‘Ons Huis’ hall, just a few minutes away from Brussels.

There is easy parking nearby and the room is accessible by public transport.
